What is the role?
Reporting the Global Head of People & Organisational Development, the HR Director, Aerogen Americas will develop and deliver the People strategy, lead and build out the HR team and be a key member of both the Aerogen Americas & Aerogen Pharma Leadership teams. The role will ensure we have the right people strategies to develop, elevate and realise the potential of our talent, our leaders and their teams. In addition to development, this role will help shape, build and oversee various HR initiatives spanning the larger HR function. We are there to challenge and support in equal measure and to strategically shape the future organization to deliver against our purpose and ambition.
What are the key responsibilities?
- Drive the People agenda, partnering closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs) - HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Talent & Leadership, Learning & Development.
- Work closely with the Global People & Organisational Development team to drive strategic direction; best People practice and corporate talent strategy initiatives.
- Deliver P&OD and HR policies that support business strategy and ensure compliance and best practices in line with legislation.
- Provide strategic, operational and best practice advice on people-related business challenges and ensure a positive employee relations climate.
- Investigate, resolve and partner on employee relations issues.
- Deliver NA benefits strategy that ensures global alignment and makes Aerogen an attractive employer.
- Lead the execution of the organization’s talent strategy, partnering with the Leadership Team on talent reviews through identification of future talent needs, succession planning, talent mapping process, identifying key talent and taking actions required to close organizational capability gaps.
- Partner with NA leaders in driving talent acquisition strategy and support in process.
- Provide data and insights into organizations’ "health" by analysing trends in performance, engagement, attrition, and turnover, etc.
- Add value to strategy and execution on the people agenda as a trusted partner, core to the Aerogen NA & LatAm Leadership team
- Lead the People agenda for North America where responsibilities will include Organisational Design, Talent Attraction, Onboarding, Diversity and Inclusion, Total Rewards, Talent Management, Employee Wellbeing and Employee Engagement.
- Recommend and implement policies and procedures to enhance the current HR function in NA.
- Lead and effectively deliver the North American HR Operations strategy and processes with support from a HR Generalist (direct report).
- Partner with business stakeholders to build high performing teams, coaching line managers to create an environment which drives a culture of high performance.
- Develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with outside vendors and stakeholders to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of work within the HR function.
What education and experience are required?
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field and equivalent business experience (Master’s degree in Business advantageous)
· Min of 8+ years in Human Resource roles.
· Good understanding of employment law.
· Global or Regional experience preferred.

- Managing the delivery of the annual salary review, including benchmarking, developing proposals and delivery and execution of reward plans.
- Strong learning agility. Enjoys and excels in environments where they must tackle and solve complex strategic business challenges and issues, incorporating the newest ideas, technologies, and approaches to business.
- Demonstrated track record of developing effective relationships across all levels of the organization and with diverse teams.
- Ability to diagnose and successfully handle organizational development issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, group, process, and influence skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive major initiatives and influence decision makers at all levels.
- Leadership and management: demonstrated track record of being a part of a team of high performing professionals. Leads by example, possesses a strong work ethic and is collaborative.
- Ability to prepare and make senior level presentations, and collect, assimilate and analyze data. Must be competent in Excel and PowerPoint.
