About the role:

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for building and leading a world-class marketing organization and will work cross-functionally to develop and drive the end–to–end marketing strategy and execution of the company.

Craft is looking for a marketing leader who can enhance and optimize the current customer base, channel sales, and Go To Market execution. This person will have experience developing marketing strategies that drive predictable, sustainable and scalable growth, and developing market leadership positioning and brand awareness for Craft.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Strategy, Tactics and Creativity - Develop and execute innovative marketing campaigns through multiple channels that reach Craft’s target customer, with powerful positioning that penetrates the noise and drives business growth. Spearhead a holistic marketing strategy focused on both new audience acquisition and existing customer expansion. Oversee and guide Demand Generation to refine the customer lifecycle and buyer journeys within, analyze and report on the effectiveness of all demand-generating marketing channels, and guide which efforts to scale or adjust. Develop and execute a robust field marketing and events strategy to maximize engagement with customers and prospects.
  • Functional Collaboration - Serve on the Executive Team as the principal voice of the Marketing organization, creating and nurturing a highly effective feedback loop of understanding and coordination among Product, Sales and Marketing. Work with content, brand and creative teams to oversee the development and execution of integrated strategies to increase brand awareness and sentiment, and communicate our vision across the industry. Work with Product to optimize and scale go-to-market motions, segmentation, packing & pricing, market & competitive insights. Ability to productively challenge, debate and help the entire team come to the best decisions for the company.
  • An Architect for Growth - Responsible for managing and growing the global Marketing organization to support the company’s revenue growth and market positioning objectives. Has extensive experience with the modern Martech stack to help amplify and scale Craft’s marketing efforts.
  • Enterprise Marketing - The Vice President of Marketing will have experience marketing complex enterprise software solutions, in particular target customers in the supply chain, procurement and data analytics functions of the world’s biggest enterprises in every major sector and geography with multiple buyers, departments and influencers. They will identify and address marketing opportunities to accelerate Craft’s sales cycle, while constantly growing awareness and sales results.
  • A Strong People Leader - An effective leader who can inspire and rally their team, through high integrity, accountability, and humility. Build and retain a world-class team of marketing professionals consisting of diverse backgrounds, perspectives and skill-sets collaborating hyper effectively. They must inspire, encourage, enable, and develop high performers, while developing a strong culture of predictability, accountability, and consistency.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Strong people management, mentoring, coaching, and development experience
  • Strong track record of driving revenue and customer growth
  • Detail and results-oriented approach; skilled at both strategy and hands-on execution; data-driven and intuitive and empathetic to the needs of our customers
  • 10+ years of experience leading a high-performing Marketing organization in a fast-growth, venture-backed B2B SaaS organization
  • Natural born storyteller: ability to translate technical B2B products into narratives and positioning that will resonate with Craft’s buyers
  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to managing projects and campaigns
  • Experience in leading product marketing and content marketing with extensive messaging & positioning skills
  • Customer-centric and customer-obsessed, taking pride in knowing the customer and product better than anyone
