The Branded Cards and Lending Business Delivery Office sits within the Chief Operating Office (COO) for Branded Cards and Lending which is responsible for supporting the development of a long-term strategy and for ensuring an effective business operating environment. The COO runs pricing, payments, and statement operations, leads the business re-engineering, productivity, and simplification efforts, drives technology and investment prioritization, and is both the CX and EX ambassador for Branded Cards and Lending. The Business Delivery Office Head is responsible for investment prioritization, partner integration, client experience, centralized project management, regulatory change execution and product conversions.

The Head of Branded Cards and Lending Business Delivery Office is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Provide advice and counsel related to the business strategies, regulatory resolutions, technology, and/or operations of the business. This role is responsible for influencing a matrixed team across the organization and will have day-to-day interactions with senior leaders, cross functional teams, product owners and other USPB supporting functions. Excellent communication and relationship skills required to negotiate internally, guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas.


Responsibilities:
  • Own and Manage the Technology book of work: Partner with Technology for the delivery of releases and address any gaps based on fit assessment for a significant number of highly complex Branded Cards and Lending projects annually
  • Investment and Prioritization for Branded Cards and Lending
  • Own and Manage Branded Cards and Lending end-to-end technology Investment and prioritization processes
  • Branded Cards and Lending Centralized Project Management and Delivery Office
  • Ensure alignment with CPPMP – CPPMS and other Citi Project Management governance guidelines.
  • Own all ARCMs and controls related to project management for Branded Cards and Lending.
  • Management of project execution partnering with product owners, cross functional teams and technology driving awareness and consistently throughout the organization; easing initiative process for Products, Lending, Pricing, Regulatory.
  • Support all partner efforts including new products and initiatives as well as successfully correct all issues internally and with partners.
  • Partner Integration
  • Manage Technology interface with Cards Partners (AA, AT&T, and Costco).
  • Simplification Agenda execution: Product, Operations, Processes and Platforms aligned to enterprise agenda to help streamline processes, customer experience and overall decommission of legacy Citi systems.
  • Own and manage execution of regulatory changes (recent examples include new NY Rewards law and new Business Card regulation).
  • Strategic Product Simplification and Regulatory Project Management and Execution
  • Strong understanding of credit card investment, client experience, partner management, project management, operations and regulatory environment is required.
  • Excellent communication skills required to negotiate internally, at a senior level. External communication/negotiation also necessary.
  • Adaptable to change and constantly seek opportunities to improve processes
  • Strong understanding of technology and investment process
  • Proven track record and accountability in making quick decision that have an immediate impact on business financials.

  • 15+ years of experience in financial services (Credit Card preferred); experience leading Business Delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to observe and understand business processes and ensure processes are documented completely and accurately ensuring an effective business operating environment
  • Experience in dealing with multiple senior partners
  • Experience managing teams with broad accountability in a complex environment. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional organization Ability to balance strategic priorities with tactical actions.
  • Manage full process/oversight including adding controls for customer initiated, Citi initiated and massive conversions.
  • End-to-end systemic conversion process for Branded Cards and Lending
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, Master’s Degree preferred
