Starbucks is looking for a consumer group marketing manager to lead brand marketing, brand strategy, and overall GTM execution. Leveraging customer insights, creative strategy, and data this role will lead a team helping bring our mission to life – With every cup, conversation, and community, we nurture the limitless possibilities of human connection – with campaigns that will inspire and activate US customers and energize our global brand.


The Starbucks brand is communicated holistically and imbued across every touchpoint of the customer journey so your work will range from architecting multi-channel US brand marketing campaigns to building brand strategies that deeply connect with our customers and breakthrough in culture.


You are a creative, purpose-driven marketer that has led integrated marketing campaigns and brand strategy for some of the world’s leading consumer brands. You’re a champion of creative excellence, a master storyteller, and a leader with a growth mindset. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and you’re everyone’s favorite collaborator, listening and learning from a diverse team of partners (employees) that span multiple disciplines across the enterprise.


As a group marketing manager, Brand Marketing, you will…


  • Help define the company’s annual brand marketing goals, brand strategies, and integrated marketing campaigns that drive our business, build our brand, and champion our social impact and sustainability efforts.
  • Mentor and motivate your team in building world-class, award-winning campaigns and coach them on how to successfully partner cross-functionally to execute large-scale marketing programs across the entire customer journey.
  • Drive creative brief development and uncover customer and cultural truths that empower some of the most passionate, inspiring in-house creatives and agency partners.
  • Champion the brand’s purpose and help build guidelines across the company, driving integration of our brand principles into all parts of the customer experience.
  • Partner with key stakeholders across retail marketing and operations, creative studio, public relations, social media, US marketing and international in helping the company operationalize the brand strategy and manage the growth of this iconic brand.
  • Be on the forefront of culture and creative excellence to help you design an innovative, full marketing mix across paid, owned and earned.
  • Understand brand measurement, lead brand management capabilities and work closely with our data, customer insights and media teams to quantify brand marketing’s impact on the business.


We’d Love To Hear From People With


  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability
  • You are a dedicated and enthusiastic communicator and collaborator
  • Extensive experience developing integrated go-to-market strategies and assets spanning the customer journey.
  • Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience or four years US military experience in a related MOS/C.
  • You are equally strategic and execution-oriented who has managed global campaigns.
  • Adaptability and agility to provide thoughtful input when projects change, timelines shift, or scopes vary
  • You have 7+ years in consumer brand marketing, brand strategy and/or brand management experience.
  • A growth mindset with an optimistic outlook and the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional team members and lead through influence
  • You have worked in agencies or have managed a large scope of agency relationships.
  • Experience with global brands
  • You have a track record of developing high-performing and happy marketing teams to achieve effective and creative work.
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Curiosity, creativity, and an innate ability to distill complexity into crisp, easily comprehensible strategy and agency briefs.
  • You have a strong knowledge of how to navigate change and the ability to help your team to mitigate issues as they arise
  • You actively invite feedback and give thoughtful, specific, and timely feedback
  • An appreciation and commitment to creative excellence while meeting company goals
  • Experienced creative strategist with a strong brand background.
