Your Impact
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and data-driven Gamer Research & Insights Manager to bring their passion for gaming and expertise in conducting and leveraging primary and secondary research to strengthen Enthusiast Gaming’s leadership in the gaming space.
This role will be an expert on gaming communities and the gaming ecosystem to influence brand positioning, product innovation, and strategic direction. You will own custom research projects from beginning to end - analyzing and packaging both quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights and stories that raise the gamer IQ of internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate must demonstrate strategic and creative thinking in answering business challenges and identifying new business opportunities using data and insights gained through research projects. A passion and understanding of gaming culture and communities - and the implications of gaming trends on the marketing/media industry - is essential.

Responsibilities include:
- Field and respond to reactive research requests from go-to-market teams in response to agency/client RFPs using proprietary and syndicated data tools.
- Translate business questions into clear research objectives and identify whitespace opportunities for custom gaming research studies.
- Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research projects using primary and secondary resources to support our client’s Brand Solutions (sales and marketing), Strategic Partnerships, Product, and Executive Leadership teams.
- Stay current on gamer/consumer research approaches; Proactively identify new tools and resources to enhance our client’s research, measurement, and reporting capabilities across media, streaming, content, social, and creator partnerships; Onboard and maintain vendor relationships.
- Partner with Data team to build our client’s first-party data strategy by leading the synthesizing and communication of insights.
- Compile, analyze, and translate gaming audience and industry research into thoughtfully packaged, compelling, and actionable insights/stories/collateral that empower go-to-market strategy and narratives for client proposals and thought leadership materials.
- Work collaboratively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, customer success, strategic partnerships, content, and product teams to align on business goals and KPIs.
- Create and maintain a database of research materials including collateral on the gaming landscape, gamer personas, media measurement, and more.
- Develop a research roadmap in collaboration with executive and senior leadership.
- Effectively communicate the latest gaming audience and industry trends to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience with various quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and primary and secondary research tools such as proprietary DMP, Comscore, GWI, Google Analytics, etc. Experience working with gaming-specific sources such as Newzoo, Creator IQ, etc.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience presenting to a senior executive team and working with a fast-paced sales team.
- Inherently curious and resourceful, with the ability to tolerate and navigate ambiguity.
- 3-5+ years of professional experience with proven experience in a research, analytics, or marketing role; Agency, digital media, or publishing experience is a plus. Must bring a passion for and expert-level understanding of the gaming and esports landscape.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Ability to both work independently as an individual contributor and collaborate with cross-functional teams with varying levels of seniority in a fast-paced, complex organization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong data visualization, writing, and presentation skills.
