Job Title: Senior Human Resources Manager
Location:Remote
Summary
Job Summary: Partner with plant operation leaders to develops individual and organizational capability with a focus on employee development and recruitment of top talent. Provide leadership and guidance to leaders on matters related to talent, organizational change, labor and employee relations, engagement and communications. Focus on directing the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Responsibilities
Partners with the plant leadership to understand and execute the talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
Provides support and guidance to HR manager, plant management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Analyzes trends in compensation and researches and proposes competitive base pay to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Education and Experience
Preferred Qualifications master’s or MBA; B.S. degree in HR Management, Business, Psychology, or related field. 7 – 5 years' experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility as a HR Manager and or Business Partner. Strong oral and written communication skills and experience with labor relations. Experience working in union and non-union manufacturing environment. Experience with driving employee engagement and positive employee relations with all levels of employees. Strong professional maturity / judgment and accustomed to dealing with confidential situations.
