Job Description

Seeking front desk, medical office assistance for a neuropsychologist office. Qualified individual will be able to engage in:

  • Customer Service
  • Office Administration Duties.
  • Receptionist DutiesPatient


Soft skills:We are looking for someone who is pleasant, with excellent telephone voice/manner, impeccable customer service skills, and ability to deal with mentally ill individuals (patience and ability to not take other's behaviors personally).Excellent organizational abilities required (effective time management, ability to prioritize workload). Must demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and schedule patients to optimize daily schedule.

It is extremely important this candidate be punctual and reliable.


Hard skills: Ideal candidate must have medical office experienced.Must be familiar with EHRs (such as Practice Fusion).Mustunderstand health insurance and how mental health is covered.Candidate must haveability to operate office equipment, computers, and basic (both Apple OS and MS Office software: create/edit/maintain electronic health records, compose correspondence, spreadsheets using Word & Excel).


Primary duties will include:greeting patients, registering patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, screening for adequate cases fit services provided, creating medical records and maintaining them, verifying health insurance benefits, collect copays, help out with medical (mental health billing), as well as clean the office.


The candidate must speak English. Candidates bilingual in Spanish are highly desirable (but not required).Individuals with social work, counseling, customer service, medical training, emergency response training, or administrative experience in a high-profile setting will receive primary consideration.
