Situated on oceanfront Collins Avenue in the heart of Millionaire's Row, Fontainebleau Miami Beach is one of the most historically and architecturally significant hotels on Miami Beach. Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.


The Lobby Ambassador serves as arrival and departure ambassador by greeting, welcoming, and acknowledging guests. The Lobby Ambassador will anticipate, and address guests' needs to ensure quality standards, services, and guest satisfaction.


Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following


  • All other duties as assigned, planned or un-planned
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Minimum of two years guest services experience. Previous hotel experience preferred
  • Attend required training and meetings
  • Maintain neat, clean, and professional appearance according to standards
  • Maintain complete knowledge in the use of all office equipment, property management systems, and access according to specifications
  • Communicate with departments using the proper equipment and etiquette
  • Develop and maintain a positive working relationship and support the team to achieve our goals
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, features, and hours of operation
  • Engage hotel guests to enhance the service experience through activation of all outlet services within the lobby area and resort (e.g., restaurants & bars, LIV lounge, etc.)
  • Demonstrate effective sales techniques to upsell hotel's amenities and products
  • Create memorable moments for guests
  • Maintain the integrity of company proprietary information and protect company assets
  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications
  • The answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • Maintain updated information regarding area attractions, local events, activities, and services
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests with disabilities and follow proper procedures to accommodate needs
  • Contact appropriate individual or department (e.g., bell person, housekeeping, lost and found, etc) as necessary to resolve all guest calls, requests, or problems
  • High school education or equivalent. College degree preferred
  • Assist Operational team to coordinate and respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services (e.g., transportation, reservations, dry cleaning) by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers
  • Escort/direct guests to the outlets, tower when necessary
  • Gather, summarize, and provide information to guests about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities
  • Bilingual highly desireable
  • Coordinate with Internal Maintenance to maintain cleanliness of the front-drive and lobby areas
  • Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills
