About The Role
Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge as a Founding Member of our Fraud Strategy & Operations team? In this role, you'll be at the forefront of developing and optimizing fraud strategies, making a real impact on our company's success. As we continue to grow, you'll be an essential part of our data-driven approach, utilizing insights to create cutting-edge fraud policies and defenses that protect our valued customers and enable us to stay ahead of emerging risks.
What You'll Do
Insightful Fraud Policies: Leverage external and internal performance data to develop best-in-class fraud policies, covering various areas such as identity/first-party fraud, transaction fraud, account takeover fraud, KYC/B, and more. Your work will add significant value to both Ramp and our customers.
Data-Driven Approach: Dive deep into individual fraud events, conducting thorough root cause analyses, and use these insights to build strong fraud defenses.
Collaborative Partnership: Work closely with product, engineering, and design teams to implement and execute fraud policies and features, ensuring a seamless and secure customer experience.
Risk Mitigation: Monitor and research risk events, developing levers that mitigate risk factors while partnering with data scientists to create and utilize fraud risk models.
Innovation & Growth: Stay ahead of emerging underwriting and fraud trends, and use this knowledge to innovate on our decisioning systems and policies.
What You Need
At least 2 years of experience in fraud risk management or a quantitative strategy role.
Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data retrieval and manipulation.
Experience within consumer/corporate/small business cards, payments, invoices, lending, or related industries.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience in high-growth startups.
Background in building complex financial products.
Compensation
We value our team members and believe in rewarding them accordingly. The annual salary/OTE range for this role is $114,750-$135,000, plus target equity and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) contributions.
