Allegiance Crane & Equipment is a leader in the crane industry and currently seeking a Dispatcher to join our team in the Midland location.

Position Summary

The Dispatcher is responsible for the daily coordination and scheduling of all cranes, operators, riggers, and drivers according to our customers’ expectations.

Essential Responsibilities

• Ensure that proper job tickets are submitted by the operators on a daily basis.
• Regular communication in person with other staff members in the office.
• Prepare crane load-outs and accompanying trucking needs prior to crane departures
• Schedule cranes and operators for daily & long-term projects, as needed using the FCC (Fleet Cost & Care) system.
• Communicate with management as necessary regarding input which may increase productivity and efficiency.
• Minimize labor related overtime by aggressive and proactive scheduling practices.
• Represent Allegiance Crane with professionalism and dignity in all communication(s) with customers.
• Maximize utilization and efficiency of equipment and labor pool based on availability for profitability.
• Communicate and interact actively with operations manager for maximum efficiency with labor force and in-house operation requirements.

Requirements

• Some weekend work required.
• Crane & Rigging experience preferred.
• Min 2 years’ experience in a dispatch role
• Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Thorough knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and EPA laws and regulations required.
• Intermediate computer skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about office and yard. Must be able to walk safely on uneven or unpaved surfaces. Will sit at a computer and desk for extended lengths of time. Must be able to lift up to 20 lb. May be exposed to noise, heat, dust, and fumes around facilities and job sites. Must be able to drive a vehicle for local travel to job sites, if needed. Must be able to communicate over the phone regularly throughout the day, and after-hours as needed.
