The Advanced Materials (AM) SBE, a $2.5B+ global enterprise, is one of three business units that comprise the Performance Materials & Technologies strategic business group. The AM business is comprised of four HOS Gold Enterprises, which have commercial and manufacturing resources located in North America, Europe, and Asia.

We are looking for a Finance Manager, AM Freight, Distribution and Logistics located in either Houston, TX of Morris Plains, New Jersey. This role will report to the Senior Finance Director, Integrated Supply Chain, AM

Responsibilities Include:

• Collaborates and communicates effectively with ISC Finance GBE leaders to support their full Gross Margin oversight responsibilities
• Other Ad-hoc projects
• End to end financial ownership and management of the Advance Materials Freight, Distribution & Logistics spend (>$250mm annual spend) with direct partnership with functional leadership. Including: Tracking actuals, chair for weekly status updates, productivity planning and reporting, forecasting, budget integration into financial systems.
• Optimize work processes in collaboration with matrix organization, particularly Logistics
• Support and monitor lease portfolio (warehousing, ISO tanks, Rail cars etc.) and ensure timely accounting, tracking, forecasting

Skills & Behaviors:

• Previous experience managing Freight, Logistics and Distribution functions a plus.
• Highly proficient in information technology financial applications particularly SAP and Excel.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the business and influence with data. Work with large data sets, simplify, up-level and prepare for senior leadership consumption.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial people.
• Strong work ethic - ability to management multiple, critical projects simultaneously and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Work independently and with all levels of the organization.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Ability to understand accounting and financial processes related to the business.
• 6+ years experience in Finance
• Ability to present complex analysis with clarity.

WE VALUE

• Knowledge of US GAAP Sarbes-Oxley and Internal controls.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance. A Masters degree in Finance or CPA is preferred.
• Prior experience as a people manager.
• Good oral and written communication.
• Some relevant experience in similar positions.
