Senior Finance Analyst (Operations/Logistics)

What's the role?

The Finance Analyst II is responsible for the design, implementation, tracking, reporting, and communication of the Hilti North America (HNA) Operations budgeting and steering; providing overall analytical support to the finance and business functions ensuring the best possible financial information for business decisions to support sustainable, profitable growth. The Financial Analyst II may also contribute and provide leadership in developing and advancing the Global Finance strategy and related roadmap. This role requires deep dive analysis into topics of strategic importance with the objective of operationalizing the findings.

What does the role involve?

• Support FP&A team by being the first point of contact for issues and questions related to financial accounting of procurement related spend
• Project support and management of key operations initiatives
• Assist FBP in developing and implementing performance criteria to match the operations group strategy
• Train finance, procurement and reporting end users on how to access and utilize available reporting platforms
• Additional duties as assigned
• Ad hoc finance analysis as needed
• Develop reporting dashboards in Excel, Power BI and SAC cloud analytics to measure key OPEX performance metrics
• Explore deviations to the forecast by creating transparency on cause and effect and make recommendations on corrective actions, maintaining the respective tracking
• Assist the Operations Leadership team during on regular business reviews
• Month-end close analysis
• Challenges and improves current financial analytical processes/models to improve business decisions and productivity
• Accountable for effectively defining, planning, and implementing projects that achieve company objectives, productivity standards, and cost controls by understanding and defining cross functional requirements, documenting processes, training others, and being responsible for functional expertise, coaching, and mentoring
• Regional owner/expert of key financial data process and reports for supported operations groups
• Rolling Forecast and annual OPEX target setting support

What you need is:

• Ability to work independently and with minimal direction with a proactive approach to internal customers and suppliers
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Master’s degree in Business/Data Analytics, Finance, Business or Accounting or BS/BA in Business/Data Analytics, Finance, Business or Accounting and 3-5 years of relevant work experience in business reporting function
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills, required
• Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, required
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and activities, required
• Skilled with MS Office Suite; Excel and PowerPoint knowledge, preferred
