Field Services Engineer Jobs

As a Field Service Engineer based in the Central or Northwest U.S. you will have the responsibility for performing on-site or in-house servicing, installation, repair and calibration of test and measurement equipment and systems. You could also be asked to diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures. Exercise considerable judgment to determine most efficient method(s) for resolution of problems to minimize customer downtime.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Execute repair and calibrations on individual equipment in the service facility as needed
• Perform installation of single or multi-rack systems, including chambers, comprised of multiple Anritsu equipment at the customer site
• Ability to accommodate 75% or greater in travel required
• Capable of completing special assignments/projects as assigned by management
• Responsible for scheduling frequent domestic and international travel with sometimes less than 24 hours’ notice and occasionally for extended periods.
• This position will report to the Field Service Manager based in CA.
• Participates in ongoing efforts of process and product improvements
• Ensures that appropriate quality standards are adhered to in the performance of the position
• Perform on-site upgrade, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of Anritsu systems

Requirements:

• Working knowledge of ISO-9000, ISO-17025, ANSI Z540 preferred
• BS/BE degree in computer science/engineering preferred
• RF Microwave Test & Measurement knowledge and experience required
• Prior on-site work experience preferred
• Prior repair experience in the field of test and measurement equipment preferred
• Prior work with test and measurement systems preferred
• Prior Anritsu product/system experience preferred

Travel Required:

Yes.Up to 75% travel required. Travel will be lower if residing in the Bay Area OR San Diego, CA.
