Field Application Engineer Jobs

Innodisk USA designs and manufactures Industrial Flash storage (SSD) & DRAM Memory Modules. The Field Application Engineer will work closely with the sales team in the United States, providing technical support to win new business and move current projects toward mass production. The position is an integral part of our technical support network centered at the company’s headquarters in Taiwan.

Principal responsibilities

1. Provide technical support, pre-and post-sale, for Flash and DRAM products.

2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues in our lab and at clients’ offices.

3. Test and certify samples for new clients.

4. Provide detailed Failure Analysis reports.

5. Maintain accurate records in the failure analysis database.

Requirements

1. Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple competing demands.

2. Good presentation skills, with the ability to clearly express technical concepts.

3. Ability to deliver accurate technical support solutions in a timely manner.

4. Energetic personality that inspires customer’s confidence in our products.

Technical Skills

1. BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Management of Information Systems.

2. Experienced in BASH scripting.

3. Experienced in Linux and Windows operating systems used in desktop and embedded systems.

4. Experienced in Virtual Machines.

5. Working knowledge of computer architecture and booting process.

Preferred Background

1. Field Application Engineer experience in Flash/DRAM products or embedded systems.

2. Knowledge of SATA standard.

3. Knowledge of PCIe/NVMe standard.
