The Opportunity
Project: Life sciences and industrial manufacturing field engineer
Mace is seeking a full-time field engineer for life science and industrial manufacturing projects to work directly with our clients on capital projects.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Assisting with construction notification process and procedures.
- Reviewing and providing input to schedule updates, submittal documentation, RFIs, etc.
- Assisting with entering data for project reporting of safety statistics, waste reports, and other standard project logs.
- Driving “Safety Focus” on the project and ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental project requirements.
- Documenting construction activity with photos and maintain a photo library by area and project to document construction progress.
- Working with the document controller, assisting with maintaining project documentation in Procore, Trello, Google Docs, etc.
- General day-to-day operational oversight of construction activities performed by contracted general contractor and all trades.
- Validating materials received onsite.
- Possessing basic knowledge in google spreadsheets to maintain project logs, as necessary.
- Assisting with review of project submittals (to the extent that review by the PMT of a particular submittal is required) and verify conformance to project documents as required within the PMT scope.
- Assisting with creating basic maps or other diagrams for campus coordination purposes.
- Ensuring all commissioning and operational reports/checklists are being reviewed and managed by project team members.
- Tracking status of submittals and RFIs.
- Ensuring appropriate campus security measures are complied with during all times of construction.
- Providing weekly reports on project site activities and safety.
- Assisting with coordination on warranty and closeout items that include owner trainings, attic stock, O&M manuals, warranties, etc.
- Using safety observation application to identify, monitor, and report potential site hazards.
- Interfacing with all stakeholders and project vendors to execute agreed scope within agreed timelines.
About You
You will have relevant degree (MS or MBA preferred). You have demonstrated capital program leadership experience. You have effectively managed integrated team(s) on large complex and multi-phase life science and industrial manufacturing capital programs. You have knowledge of multiple project delivery methods, including alternative project delivery (design build and construction manager at risk).
