Job Title: Senior Experience Designer

Location/Remote Work:

• Remote - Manager willing to see candidate in the Central or Eastern Standard Times
• If candidate is local to Pittsburgh, they will have the option to be in the office

Schedule:

• Days: Monday – Friday
• Hours: 8AM – 5PM
• Hours per week: 40

Flexible hours: Flexible start and end times

• OT: Not likely

Extension/ Possibility for conversion:

• Possibility for conversion
• This position is contract with the right to hire if a need becomes available. Manager will only look at candidates that are open to converting to a full-time employee. We will not sponsor work visas if the decision is made to hire the contingent worker.

Business need for this role:

• The digital strategy team needs an additional designer to assist with high project volume. building out the team

Background

• Experience designing for e-commerce/ responsive web design
• Worked in Agile atmosphere

Day to day responsibilities:

• Working collaboratively with other designers
• Engaging in meetings with stakeholders to present designs
• Creating low and high fidelity designs in Sketch
• Thinking through use cases, user journeys
• Working on building PNC pattern libraries
• Work in agile environment i.e scrums, sprints, reviews, planning etc.

Technical Skills:

• Strong responsive / web / mobile design skills
• Strong UI design
• Experience with project management tools like Jira / Trello
• Proficient with Sketch, Adobe Suite, Invision
• Experience with creating pattern libraries and style guides

Soft Skills

• Strong Communication
• Pro active, self-starter, takes the initiative

Flex Skills

• Experience using tools like Figma, MyBalsamiq, Axure
• Experience with UX research
• Html / CSS / JS skills
• Startup/agency experience

Manager is looking for the following

• Good communicator - public speaking experience. Should have accurate speaking knowledge of design "Buzz words"; should be able to speak on behalf of the design team to other departments and stakeholders
• Portfolios should not only be visually appealing but have in depth case studies on each project they've done. Links to these projects will suffice
• Interviews--be able to walk through their thought process and functional design of a business problem
• Want to see less collegiate work and more real world experience in a portfolio
• 4-7 years of experience
