Lead Product Designer Jobs

Our client is seeking a founding Product Designer with strong Product Design/UI and UX experience. The ideal candidate will have design experience working in a top-tier tech startup that has a high bar for talent, this can be a renowned tech organisation or an early-stage tech startup (Seed/Series A/Series B) that has experienced a lot of growth, ideally leading design for technical projects and working closely with the engineering teams.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Product Design Lead, you will own the entire product design org and be responsible for both the look and feel of a product that will be touched by many large brands and millions of users. You will interface directly with customers to understand how they feel about the product and guide the product accordingly.

Your input will be valued and highlighted at every stage of the product development process, from mocking up new feature ideas to mapping use experience flows. As the first Product Design hire, you will play a foundational role in defining and building out the Product Design function and team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 🧢 Able to extend past the scope of a typical product design role
• 🖥 4-10 years of product design, UI, and UX experience
• ☁️ Familiar with user research and user research methodologies
• ⌨️ Experience designing technical projects and working with engineering teams
• ⏳ Ability to balance delightful design with the need to move quickly and iterate.
• ⚙️ Proficient in Figma (and similar design tools) and able to develop wireframes and prototypes
• 🛠 Experience delivering multiple projects with cross-disciplined teams
