Job Details

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Executive Director/Vice President of Medical Affairs to join our dynamic and innovative scientific industry team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading global medical affairs teams in the development and commercialization of innovative therapies. Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the medical affairs team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of global medical affairs strategies in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, regulatory affairs, commercial, and R&D, to ensure successful drug development and commercialization.
• Ensure that all medical affairs activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Manage the medical affairs budget and resources, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and external stakeholders to ensure that the company's medical affairs strategies are informed by the latest scientific and clinical insights.
• Provide leadership and direction to the medical affairs team, ensuring that all team members are aligned and working towards common goals.
• Represent the company at key scientific and medical conferences and meetings, presenting data and engaging with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in executive leadership roles such as Executive Vice President or similar.
• Experience in global medical affairs, with a track record of success in developing and executing global medical affairs strategies.
• 8+ years of experience in medical affairs leadership roles, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key opinion leaders and external stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals.
• Strong understanding of drug development and clinical trial processes.
• MD or PhD in a relevant scientific field.
• Experience in R&D Medical Affairs is preferred.
