Sr Director, Medical Affairs

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Director, Medical Affairs serves as a key scientific resource for clinicians, academic institutions, and professional organizations. Is a leader within the Medical Affairs team. We are looking for a smart, mission-oriented leader who can build and grow an industry-leading MSL team, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and help us transform the management of disease worldwide. The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team serves as a key field-based scientific resource for clinicians, academic institutions, and professional organizations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide ongoing education, training, and professional development.
• Must maintain a current status on Natera training requirements.
• Manage a departmental budget Perform other duties as assigned
• Drive development, launch and commercialization of Prospera and renal genetics products Identify, develop, maintain, and manage collaborative working relationships with key academic and community physicians ("KOLs"), as well as other relevant healthcare professionals.
• This role works with PHI on a regular basis both in paper and electronic form and have an access to various technologies to access PHI (paper and electronic) in order to perform the job Employee must complete training relating to HIPAA/PHI privacy, General Policies and Procedure Compliance training and security training as soon as possible but not later than the first 30 days of hire.
• Identify and execute on corporate strategies to educate on transplant and renal genetics products, both internally and externally
• Collaborate with Marketing and Clinical leadership to develop educational content for healthcare providers and patients.
• Collaborate with Scientific Communications and Clinical Trial Operations on clinical research Lead agenda planning and meeting facilitation of Clinical Advisory Boards and Symposia.
• Provide scientific and/or clinical presentations on Natera's products Serve as a medical and scientific resource for the Natera Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
• Supervise a team of MSL Managers and Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• PhD, PharmD, MD, Genetic counselor or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years MSL and/or medical affairs experience, with demonstrated leadership Management experience required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Demonstrated ability to grow and lead a team.
• Experience in establishing long-term collaborative working relationships with internal stakeholder functions (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, R&D) and external customers.
• Outgoing and confident demeanor.
• Product development experience.
• Independent thinker and persuasive communicator.

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
