The Executive Director, International Communications is a leadership role that provides strategic, integrated communications guidance to the President for International. Their goal is to help drive the development and implementation communications strategies by maintaining and modernizing all communication channels for the International team. She/he will support content development, ranging from announcements about leadership transitions and organizational changes to project rollouts and updates. He/she will support in-function communications (i.e., townhalls, newsletters, video messages, social media etc.) and help support compelling enterprise communications.
This role will partner to address key opportunities, risks, align communications strategies across the International organization and share and optimize best practices. The role also creates and executes strategic communications plans for the President and to drive business results supporting the Company’s strategy. In addition, the Executive Director ensures to work seamlessly with the Corporate Global Communications pillars on proactive issues/risk mitigation, internal and external communications and other important corporate communications priorities.
The ED, International Communications has the following responsibilities:
- Draft messaging, content and collateral to use across channels (content includes, but is not limited to, leadership announcements, capability launches, change communications, internal news app articles etc).
- Provide strategic communications support for President’s enterprise leadership initiatives
- Represent International at the corporate Global Communications table, keeping EVP Global Communications and team informed of top level International activities; act as a key liaison between International and corporate GC pillars to ensure continued strong and effective partnerships on internal/external comms, enterprise branding, etc.
- Protect and advance the reputation, thought-leadership and visibility of our President by managing execution of key internal and external engagements and activities. Research and vet opportunities for President participation based on criticality of the business and significance of the platform. Provide communication support for these engagements, including development of presentations/speeches/talking points, audience analysis, full briefing and staffing as appropriate.
- Create and foster an enterprise mindset including sharing best practices/learning, contacts, metrics, etc. to ensure cross-fertilization across all regions
- Work closely with the GC team to proactively identify activities, influencers, and/or issues that could have enterprise implications or risks and strategize/facilitate risk mitigation
- Support the development of internal and external presentations and talking points for executives
- Actively participate as a key member of President’s leadership team
- Develop and execute the media/messaging strategies for the President through highly strategic moments and diverse, modern storytelling platforms to proactively highlight competitive strengths, in close collaboration with Global Communications External Comms team
- Help maintain communication channels across International divisions (i.e., digital newsletters, mass email, townhalls/webcasts, SharePoint sites, video messages, SMS etc.)
- Partner with International team to develop robust, integrated communications strategies to drive business results.
Qualifications
- 10+ Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Equivalent
- English language proficiency required
- 10%+ Travel Time
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $147,000 to $252,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
