Engineering Project Manager Jobs

This is a site based role at one of our customer’s key sites based in Long Island, New York. The Program manager will have the overall responsibility for the design, tendering, construction and commissioning of key upgrades to the customer facilities.

The works will take place across multiple locations on the site and will be required to be completed in a tight timeframe.

The site operates on a 24/7 production basis and key to the success of the project will be detailed planning and strong communication with the customer operations team.

A key element in the program manager role will be drive and deliver on a tight timeframe schedule whilst managing the quality and safety of the design and the stakeholder interests.

Essential to the program manager position will be a demonstrated ability to motivate a wide range of groups to achieve this common goal.

The program manager will be required to manage and work with a site-based and off-site customer personnel. The program manager must demonstrate a high level of agility and concise communication at all times.

The program manager shall be able to demonstrate capability to use a number of relevant program management tools and standards to drive the work progress.

The program manager will act as a site liaison for Malone Group.

Reports to: Project Director

Key Relationships: Customer Departmental Managers, Project Engineers, Design Engineers, Operations lead.

Responsibilities

Ø To effectively coordinate the completion of a number of clean room projects in a brown field, operational site

Ø To effectively and professionally manage projects, giving technical support and guidance where necessary, ensuring all work is achieved in accordance with customer requirements and the Company’s quality standards

Ø To understand the requirements of clean room design and actively manage the process of information collection, design, tendering, recommendations and construction management.

Ø To effectively manage resources allocated to the project, and to provide adequate and appropriate support with tendering and customer project requirements.

Ø To build relationships and liaise with all stakeholders.

Ø To manage any site-based Malone Group personnel

Ø To manage timeframes and the quality of deliverables

Ø Provide technical leadership to engineering teams.

Candidate Profile

Ø Minimum 15 years’ relevant experience

Ø Must have effective communication skills – both verbal and written

Ø Must have proven capability in fast paced multi-discipline projects

Ø Must have proven capability in organising and motivating a wide range of project members and stakeholders

Ø A minimum of 5 years relevant similar experience in clean room design or installation essential

Ø A degree in engineering is desirable

Ø The successful candidate will have a background in the design of, or the management of clean room installation in operational environments.
