Job Description
About Revel

Revel’s mission is to accelerate EV adoption by providing the infrastructure and services that make it easy to go electric. While other companies set goals for 2030, we’re focused on change we can make today. We’re also focused on cities, which have the biggest barriers to EV adoption but the most potential for change.

Our Operating Principles

Revel’s Operating Principles represent who we are, how we act, and what we believe. They define our culture.

Empathy. We seek to understand the experiences and perspectives of each other, our customers and the communities where we operate.

Ownership. We are excited by big challenges and care deeply about our work. We empower and rely on each other and hold ourselves to a high standard.

Humility. We take our work seriously but not ourselves. We’re approachable, curious, and know we have a lot to learn.

Adaptability. We expect change and quickly adjust our approach to reflect new information. We know success requires seeing opportunity in obstacles and relentlessly improving.

Simplicity. We clarify and prioritize what can be done now. We strive to keep things no more complicated than absolutely required.

The Construction Project Manager will have an integral role on the Revel’s infrastructure development team. They will oversee construction of multiple Revel Superhubs, helping expand Revel’s network of DC fast charging stations. The role will enforce timeline, budget, and design requirements. We are looking for a hands-on problem solver who can creatively move projects forward and meet deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with utility representatives and AHJs to expedite project timelines.
  • Work with contractors to reduce and manage change orders.
  • Prepare regular construction reports with photos, schedule, etc.
  • Accelerate project close-out including AHJ sign offs, as-built drawings, etc.
  • Manage several concurrent projects, effectively prioritizing resources and effort.
  • Effectively manage contractor relationships ensuring construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain project schedules and budgets.

Required Background

  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Understanding of New York City building codes and DOB / Con Edison processes.
  • Proven ability to be agile and creative when handling issues in design and construction.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in reading and analyzing electrical and mechanical construction drawings and technical documentation.
  • Must be located in, or willing to relocate to, the New York City area. Local Candidates Preferred.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution and systems for both AC and DC.
  • 3-5 years of experience spanning project management, construction, and installation. Specific experience in EV fast charging or cellular telecommunication deployment project management is valued.
  • Strong understanding of construction administration including contract management, budgeting, scheduling, change orders, etc.
