Job Summary:
Trane Technologies is hiring a Sales Leader for our Commercial HVAC Energy Services Team to focus on the Commercial & Industrial Markets throughout the US. This critical sales management role will successfully lead and execute the strategic objectives for the commercial and industrial (C&I) vertical market to drive energy services and turnkey sales growth as a member of the National Energy Services Sales Leadership team. It will lead an executive selling team as well as the coordination of sales processes across the regions and key accounts to drive pipeline. It is responsible for achieving bookings, revenue, and profitability goals while helping our customers reduce the energy intensity and carbon footprint of their built environment.
The C&I Sales Leader will be a REMOTE / VIRTUAL role, can be located anywhere in the US, and will travel up to 50%.
Responsibilities
Strategy, Mission, Vision:
  • Partner with Energy Services Sales Director to ensure alignment of strategy with overall business unit and company strategy.
  • Anticipate industry changes and positions, reposition strategy to respond to change; stay abreast of external market conditions and internal requirements.
  • Provide direction and leadership to C&I Energy Service Sales Account Executives to deliver world class sales and solutions to customers.
  • Understand the key factors in customer corporate decision-making regarding energy needs, including ESG, sustainability, and resiliency goals.
Business & Operations
  • Drive sales process excellence, hiring and on-boarding of new associates, continued assessment of skills and administering necessary training, accurate sales forecasting and consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems.
  • Create and deliver a growth strategy leveraging regional and strategic accounts to deliver world class sales and solutions to our C&I customers utilizing the full breadth of Trane Energy Services offerings and solutions.
  • Collaborate with Project Development, Product Management, and Operational Leadership to create effective programs, differentiated offerings, and subject matter expertise for required growth.
Financial
  • Models and reinforces the business’ vision, mission, business values, Code of Conduct and people values.
  • Ensures sales team mitigates company risk while maximizing customer value when preparing large jobs for executive LOA approval.
  • Establishes and applies forecasting methodology to accurately predict future results and understands the impact of planned actions on the achievement of financial goals.
  • Responsible for revenue targets for C&I Vertical Market. Sets and achieves financial goals for Account Executives through regular review of financial performance.
Qualifications
  • Ability to influence others and lead groups to achieve goals with and without direct authority
  • Sales experience in Energy/Energy Services, Sustainability, ESG, or Industrial Vertical Markets
  • Executive presence / Ability to speak to the needs of & sell to the C-Suite
  • Proven track record of successfully driving adoption of new programs and delivering growth.
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%)
  • Previous sales management experience strongly preferred, but not required
Base Compensation Range is $180,000-$225,000. Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.
