We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Development Analyst to join our Originations team. In this role, you will play a key role in the development and execution of solar and storage projects, from initial lead through booking, by utilizing your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and passion for renewable energy.

As a Project Development Analyst, you will work closely with experienced analysts, developers, and the rest of the commercial team to achieve our contract execution and deployment goals. You will collaborate with various internal teams, including Project Finance, Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Operations & Maintenance, to develop compelling customer value propositions for early-stage and awarded deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide policy support for new markets.
  • Value-engineer customer offerings to optimize costs.
  • Involve in contract and execution-side for post-award deals.
  • Conduct financial modeling to creatively structure customer offerings (cash sale, lease, PPA, etc.) to maximize the customer value proposition.
  • Research available incentives to maximize positive impact on project bottom lines.
  • Utilize powerful design software (Helioscope, Aurora, PVSim, PVSyst, Energy Toolbase) to determine optimal product selection, design, and sizing.
  • Drive process improvement and develop templates integral to the Commercial team's success.
  • Develop solar and storage projects for large customers, including Fortune 500 companies, institutional customers, and all levels of government.
  • Support business development and customer outreach efforts.
  • Analyze customer goals, site conditions, and utility data to evaluate the feasibility of solar and/or storage systems.
  • Communicate daily with internal teams to advance customer offerings toward contract execution.
  • Manage time and shifting priorities among active opportunities.
  • Research policy, incentives, construction codes, taxes, etc. for various markets.
  • Contribute to creative deal structuring and explore new financing options.
  • Perform data analytics to support project development and decision-making.

Accountabilities:

  • Strong team spirit and the ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Well-organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset and the ability to quickly learn new topics, tools, and processes.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively to solve problems.
  • Humble, gracious, enthusiastic, and motivated approach.
  • Excellent quantitative analytical skills, including advanced Excel functionality.

Qualifications / Experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic track record.

Join our team and contribute to the growth of renewable energy by developing innovative solar and storage projects.
