Bluegreen Vacations is looking to add a Senior HR Generalist to join our Associate Resource Center in Boca Raton, FL. This role requires a hybrid schedule.
Purpose:
The Senior Generalist sits in the Associate Resource Center (ARC), Bluegreen’s centralized HR contact center. This role will generally support the full spectrum of company-wide human resource activities, and specifically support the employee relations (ER) function which includes addressing employee complaints or concerns, conflicts, disciplinary actions, grievances, and requests for accommodation. This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) by providing guidance and support in all phases of ER including intake, initial assessment, investigation, evaluation, employer/employee action recommendations, documentation, and case closure. Role is responsible to ensure a fair and unbiased approach, collaborate with leadership, HRBPs, Legal and other experts to address and resolve ER issues promptly and effectively, while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. Provides direction, recommendations and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. Participate in the resolution of policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries. Proposes and organizes ARC standard operating procedures, functions, and training efforts to ensure they are directly tied to the Company's Centers of Excellence, and HRBP strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and recommend operational and procedural improvements across the business.
- Perform specific research, investigation, and documentation of serious HR matters (such as sexual harassment, discrimination, FMLA/ADA. etc.) under the direction of ARC Director or VP.
- Produce and participate in recommendations for alignment throughout the organization’s HR structure (ARC to CoE to HRBP relations).
- Responsible for conducting new hire orientation
- Working knowledge of state and federal laws pertaining to Florida employment.
- Responsible for analyzing trends across the business and working with department leadership to determine appropriate organizational response.
- Under the direction of ARC Director or VP, assist in providing guidance to leaders regarding all associate relations/disciplinary issues; partner with leadership, CoE’s and associates to conduct interviews and ensure due process on associate disciplinary issues.
- Responsible to be a backup of all pre-employment criminal background checks, motor vehicle checks, drug testing and other screening programs, as identified, for the field and corporate offices
- Responsible for coordinating human resources activities (employment, compensation administration, dealing with day-to-day personnel issues, benefits enrollment, training, and development, etc.).
- Facilitate associate surveys; plan and execute with department leaders, all associate engagement meetings embracing quality express, monthly motivational meetings and appreciation events.
- Coordinate the resolution and documentation of policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
- Responsible to be a backup to processing of pre- and post-employment background checks & motor vehicle searches for designated regions as needed.
- Recommend, develop, and schedule training and development courses as needed in partnership with leadership.
- Participate in annual strategic planning process of Bluegreen Human Resources.
Requirements:
- Customer service and quality fundamentals, MS Office Suite. Knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines. Knowledge of federal and state employment and benefit laws. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations
- Must be able to work under stress. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong ability to think strategically and analyze information timely and accurately, strong interpersonal communication skills to deal effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Human Resources Administrator or Assistant Manager experience of at least 3-5 years, preferably in the timeshare industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
