Microchip in Bend, Oregon is hiring an Electronic Tester to join our team. Under general supervision, this position will perform a variety of routine tasks to ensure product performance metrics are met. This position will also perform set-ups and testing of semiconductor wafers and assembled parts to ensure units functions according to specifications.

This position will work a Monday through Friday, day shift schedule. Once training is complete, the candidate selected for this position may determine their desired schedule including start/end times and meal periods.

Don't worry if you don't have direct experience, this position will receive thorough on the job training!

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works with or near chemicals and radiation equipment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock and vibration. Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
