We are currently seeking a Full-time Electronic Assembler for our 1st shift Monday-Friday (6:30 am-3:00 pm) in our El Cajon location.
What does the job involve?
Performs soldering, wire harness routing, and minor mechanical assembly of electronics hardware components for some complex, non-repetitive assemblies and complex repetitive assembly operations. May work under the FAA Repair Station Requirements.
What will my responsibilities include?
- May conduct detailed testing using volt meters, oscilloscopes, or flow measuring instruments.
- Connects component lead wires and wiring harness ends to the specified terminal point.
- May perform minor adjustments to component parts and may hand wind or machine wind small coil assemblies.
- Is responsible for the cleanliness of the work area, and proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss.
- Follows written and verbal instructions, handles, measures, mixes, pours and bakes liquid chemical potting compounds, adhesives, and sealers using require PPE and proper ventilation.
- Under limited supervision following standardized work orders or engineering prototype drawings, assembles electronic components and subassemblies by using hand tools to crimp, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to secure parts to a common circuit board, chassis, or panel.
What key skills and experience do I need?
- Ability to effectively communicate, read and write in English.
- Interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
- Experience using test units and ability to assemble small components.
- Knowledge of calibration equipment.
- Ability to read router instruction sheets and schematics.
- Knowledge and use of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical test equipment.
What qualifications should I have?
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and or experience, Vocational /specialized training preferred.
Experience:
- 4-5 years of technician experience in electrical assemblies.
