Basic Function: Work as a collaborative member of the Education to Employment team supporting students and partnering with peers. Coordinate all aspects of student assessment, enrollment, progress, and evaluation of their experience. Maintain data management and integrity.


Salary and Benefits:Salary of \$36,500 - \$43,800 based on experience. Benefits package includes Blue Cross/Blue Shield health insurance, eye care, dental, life and disability insurance; paid sick leave and vacation; and a choice of IPERS or TIAA retirement plans.


Qualifications: Associate degree or two years work-related experience in an educational program or three years of teaching experience. Strong computer skills including: MS Office; the ability to maneuver efficiently and comfortably around the web; learn new data systems and train others in their use. Able to keep current with Department of Education and Iowa Workforce Development policies and regulations. Enjoys working with diverse groups of people. Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, dependable and flexible. Excellent communication skills including verbal and written. Ability to work evening and weekend hours when needed.


\ Responsibilities:\ - Serve as the initial point of contact for Education to Employment students.\ - Provide a positive, student-centered environment.\ - Communicate effectively and build relationships with students, team members, partners, and worksite ESL businesses.\ - Serve as the Data Specialist for the Adult Education and Literacy program (AEL).\ - Serve as the CASAS (Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems) Coordinator.\ - Serve as HiSET (High School Equivalency Test) Test Administrator. Assist Students with scheduling tests.\ - Coordinate all aspects of student assessment.\ - Maintain attendance records and assessment scores. Monitor student attendance and progress.\ - Manage student and program data in multiple databases and information management systems.\ - Maintain data integrity. Prepare necessary documentation. Prepare program, state, and federal reports.\ - Effectively follow state and federal requirements.\ - Maintain working knowledge of National Reporting System guidelines.\ - Complete intake of High School Equivalency (HSE) and English as a Second Language (ESL) students.\ - Conduct HSE orientations as needed.\ - Travel to NIACC Centers and ESL Worksites for assessments and intakes.\ - Coordinate the student evaluation process each session.\ - Create MOUs for part-time instructors. Track and approve hours.\ - Support and provide instructors with progress reports to ensure maximum benchmark attainment.\ - Serve as technology liaison for students and instructors.\ - Maintain database of program contacts, part-time instructors, and students.\ - Assist in planning and promoting class schedules.\ - Make supply and textbook purchases.\ - Coordinate the device check-out program.\ - Complete requisition forms, take meeting minutes, update forms.\ - Assist the AEL team with new instructor onboarding, professional development, and instructional materials.\ - Help coordinate the Education to Employment Graduation including preparing invitations and programs, gathering needed supplies, setting up and tearing down, etc.\ - Assist with student recruitment as needed.\ - Travel and represent Education to Employment and the College community, area, and state meetings as appropriate. Attend all state AEL Data Specialist meetings, Continuing Education (CE) Division-related meetings, work groups, and report back to the Director and team members.\ - Perform in a manner which strengthens the coordination and cooperation of all organizational components of the College.\ NIACC Core Principles: All employees are expected to adhere to all NIACC policies and procedures.
