JOB SUMMARY
Jabil is seeking an experienced Senior Global Labor & Employment Law Specialist, This position will be a key member of Jabil’s Global Labor & Employment (“L&E”) Legal Team.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
  • L&E Audits (global) – support the development and execution of any type of HR / L&E audit.
  • Training (global) – help develop and implement training on various L&E issues.
  • Coordination of Legal Advice for Assigned Subject Matters – gather background information, conduct research, identify risks and issues, make recommendations, escalate to internal counsel as appropriate.
  • Policies (global) – assist with drafting, general counseling, and interpretation, identify risks, recommend mitigation and improvements, manage policy-related projects.
  • HR Compliance Assistance – Provide guidance to HR partners on compliance with Jabil policies, requests for workplace accommodations, and US background check adjudication escalations.
  • Claims, demands, disputes, and litigation (global) – intake, support, and administer L&E dispute resolution process and tracking, initiate and manage legal holds, gather and preserve information, coordinate discovery, manage subpoena responses and records requests, identify and brief legal risks and issues, support corrective action and remediation plans, make recommendations and appropriately consult with legal counsel, and assist with responses to EEOC / government claims.
  • Reductions in Force / Reorganizations (global) – support and coordinate processes, conduct related legal research, draft separation agreements, WARN notices and other applicable documents, maintain project trackers, drive process improvements, identify risks and provide recommendations and appropriately consult with legal counsel.
  • Legal Research (global) – perform and coordinate research on L&E issues as needed.
  • Separation Agreements (global) – support, administer and prepare templates and versions, recommend process improvements.
  • Project Management – manage global L&E projects as assigned.
  • Matter Management – open new matters, manage outside counsel support, track progress on open matters and review invoices.
  • Reporting – manage and partner with third-party vendors and HR to ensure proper administration of and compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) reporting requirements and development of Affirmative Action Plans, generate reports in Workday (e.g., headcount, demographic) as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of US L&E paralegal experience and/or HR compliance experience.
  • Ability and desire to learn and work on global matters.
  • Highly organized with ability to coordinate a high volume of daily requests/work tasks.
  • Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects while working independently.
  • Flexible mindset suited to a dynamic, fast-paced, and energetic environment.
  • Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
  • Role may require occasional travel inside and outside the United States.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Good sense of humor.
  • Proven ability to partner with HR team members, business leaders, and in-house counsel to drive compliance and HR-related projects forward.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Self-starter and proactive.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment/labor laws and statutes, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, and other DOL regulations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience working on international L&E matters is a plus.
  • Experience with legal e-billing and legal matter management systems, such as Serengeti Legal Tracker, is a plus.
  • Experience working in both law firm and in-house settings is a plus.
  • Experience working on L&E matters in multiple US states is a plus.

The pay range for this role is $68,072 - $129,213. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance. In addition, Jabil offers benefits to enhance your health, wealth, and resilient self.
