Global Supply Chain Operations (SCO) supports people in 60 locations throughout the world with regional headquarters in Singapore, China, Germany and Northern, CA and is responsible for Sales Order Management, Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics and Customer Installation.


The Director of Supply Chain Procurement resides inside SCO and is a key role with direct responsibility for successful procurement ~$1B of material spend to support manufacturing, service and spares worldwide for the Radiation Oncology Systems Division with a revenue of $3+ billion supporting customer deliveries in over 100 countries.


This role will lead a team composed of leaders in multiple regions including APAC, EMEA, and Americas with primary factory sites in US, Mexico, China, and Germany, distribution centers in California and Amsterdam as well as other forward stocking locations worldwide.


Primary Responsibilities


  • Put talent programs in place to ensure organization has appropriate bench strength.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Support corporate procurement organization in the sourcing and creation of supplier agreements.
  • Performs all required management responsibilities including but not limited to implementing the company's policies, programs, and guidelines; ensuring employee productivity and growth; managing resources.
  • Ensure proactive and timely escalation of material gaps that are a potential threat to MPS build plan, revenue, or service performance.
  • Review and plans requirements for acceptable inventory.
  • Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system.
  • Ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels.
  • Monitor and understand corporate financial measurements that dictate changes in department activities.
  • Continuously improve service parts forecasting, planning, availability, and inventory based on usage.
  • Work with installation to ensure appropriate inventory levels and with internal and external vendors to comply with inventory policies.
  • Identify and drive metrics for performance of the team to support the organization
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
  • Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of materials to support manufacturing, service and spares.
  • Coordinate with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory.


Minimum Required Skills And Knowledge


  • Ability, competence, and confidence to lead people.
  • Effective interpersonal skills.
  • Job location open, headquarter is in Palo Alto, CA. Remote also will be considered.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Workday, SAP, Salesforce, Baxter or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
  • 15 years of related experience and 7 years of management experience.
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent. Masters Degree preferred.

The base pay range for this position is


Min $123,000 - Max $221,400


The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
