Director of Supply Planning
As the Director of Supply Planning, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end supply planning operations. Your primary goal will be to ensure the timely and efficient manufacturing of products while maintaining cost-effectiveness and high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development: Develop and implement the overall supply planning strategy, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives.
Supply Chain Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain processes. Identify opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, minimize lead times, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
Co-manufacturer Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with co-manufacturers, negotiate contracts, and monitor their performance. Collaborate with co-manufacturers to ensure timely production of finished goods.
Production Planning and Scheduling: Coordinate with production teams to ensure efficient utilization of manufacturing resources. Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer demand, maximize productivity, and minimize production bottlenecks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand with available capacities.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track supply chain performance. Analyze data and generate reports to identify trends, highlight areas for improvement, and communicate performance metrics to senior management.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as supply disruptions, quality issues, and regulatory compliance. Develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize the impact of potential disruptions. Proactively manage risks associated with demand variability, capacity constraints, supplier dependencies, and other factors that impact supply chain performance.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, transportation, inventory management, sales, marketing, production, and finance, to ensure alignment of supply chain activities with overall business objectives. Foster effective communication and collaboration to resolve issues, address challenges, and drive successful execution of supply chain plans.
Travel Required: up to 30%
