Job Description

Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Senior Procurement Agent. In this role, you will support procurement activities for aftermarket spares requirements while learning new skills, solving challenging problems, and experiencing opportunities to grow in the supply chain organization. This position acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.


Duties:

  • Provide oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery, and financial performance
  • Prepare and execute negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Lead supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities
  • Lead negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions
  • Interpret and enforce contract terms and conditions
  • Consult with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues


Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience managing suppliers and/or vendors to deliver products and services.
  • 5+ years of experience in drafting, negotiating, and executing complex contracts and subcontract
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • 5+ years of experience in supplier management or procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer, Supplier Program Manager, Supply Chain Management Analyst, Item Manager, or Supply Base Manager
  • 5+ years of experience in proposal development and contract negotiations in support of US Government Customers
