General Description


The Associate Director of Commercial Planning manages drug supply activities related to Finished Good supply for commercial small molecule products. This role will be responsible for developing and executing global supply planning strategies that support the company's commercial objectives while ensuring continuity of supply to meet patient needs. Partners with stakeholders to support the monthly sales and operations process (S&OP) by conducting supply/demand analysis and preparing reports. Actively manage supply with internal and external manufacture to ensure accurate and continuous supply while reducing risk and minimizing E&O. This position will be the supply chain SME/super user for SAP ERP and advanced planning system. Experience working within a GxP environment. Works with management to develop, implement and improve supply chain commercial planning processes. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain management, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.


Responsibilities


  • Monitor schedule adherence of production schedules and make course corrections if needed
  • Develop and manage inventory and supply strategies to optimize supply efficiency, minimize E&O while identifying risk and develop risk mitigation plans
  • Assist in the creation of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Develop demand/supply scenarios and requirements for commercial products as required
  • Partner with Demand planning, Commercial, Finance, and CMC/Manufacturing to maintain S&OP process.
  • Drive continuous improvement in supply planning processes and systems, including the implementation of new technologies and tools
  • Provide supply chain SME/super user support for SAP S4/Hana ERP and perform planning activities
  • Analyze and manage supply chain risks, including identifying potential supply disruptions and developing contingency plans
  • Lead S&OP regional meetings to establish forecast, demand, and supply plans
  • Commercial Supply Planning role for commercial small molecule products
  • Manage GMP inventory throughout the supply chain, manage upcoming expiry, and ensure drug product accountability
  • Represents Supply Chain organization on Launch Readiness teams


Competencies

  • Experience in deviation investigation and CAPA implementation
  • Strong understanding of SAP ERP system and functionality

  • Demonstrates experience and a strong understanding of commercial demand/supply planning and S&OP process


Education Required


Bachelor or Master Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or similar education required.


8+ years progressive experience in Supply Chain preferably within the biotech, pharmaceutical, CRO, industry.

Other Qualifications: Due to global nature of company early morning or evening meeting may be required.


Travel: 20%


Salary Range: $133,000.00 - $183,000.00 annually

Please note that the listed range reflects the base salary or hourly range only. Non-Commercial roles are eligible to participate in the annual bonus plan, and Commercial roles are eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan.
