Enterprise Shared Services (ESS) enables the achievement of critical business objectives through the delivery of value-added products and services in the areas of workforce optimization, operational and regulatory support, decision support, and process improvement. We are seeking a Director of Quality Engineering to build a sustainable customer tracking and defect resolution system that results in reduced external defects from customer feedback and internal defects from quality audits. This candidate must be able to build a strategic program, implement effective Corrective Action Preventative Action (CAPA) processes, and execute on improvements. The ideal candidate will be organized, fast-paced, detail-oriented, and a personable self-initiator with great communication skills.
- Manage specific QARA organization to meet goals, clearly defined roles, and responsibilities; and develop talent
- Develop talent within the QA function through coaching, development plans and training
- Develop the technical, Quality, and business acumen of our Quality department
- Communicate the company’s Quality standards to the entire Quality team and Leadership Team
- Cross functional support including gap analysis, FMEA, risk assessments, root cause analysis, tracking and trending, statistical modelling (linear regression, T-test, control charts, etc.), and develop/maintain specific process datasets
- Works productively with cross functional teams within the organization to proactively resolve issues
- Responsible for timely completion of review and/or investigation into Corrective Action Preventive Actions and other Quality Investigations
- Train, mentor, and coach the staff within the department
- Interact and partner with our operational counterparts to build strong relationships, to enhance and improve our Quality culture, and reduce the number of non-conforming events
- Able to assess and review SOPs and forms to determine compliance to a standard
- Proactively identify potential quality risk areas and then drive the implementation of appropriate corrective and preventive actions
- Drive the development and implementation of new processes and procedures that will enhance efficiency and compliance
- Provide daily leadership and management for the teams that report into this position to drive excellence in quality related functions
- 4+ years direct supervisory/management experience
- Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated problem solving ability
- Demonstrated experience building accredited quality system
- 6+ years related work experience. Experience Details: 6+ years’ experience in quality or regulatory role
- At least one of the following: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Quality Engineer-CQE, Certified Quality Analyst-CQA, Certified Quality Assurance Professional-CQAP, Experience with ISO, FDA, CMS, or similar regulatory requirements
