As an Engineering Manager on our Merchant Engineering Team, you will lead a talented group of engineers focused on developing a robust and scalable catalog platform for product ads. You will play a crucial role in shaping our company's catalog platform, enabling seamless product data management and empowering merchants to effectively advertise their products. Join us in driving innovation in the field of digital advertising and delivering exceptional solutions for our merchants.
What you’ll do:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
- Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a high-impact catalog platform that enables seamless product data management and optimization for product ads while ensuring alignment with business goals and merchant needs.
- Drive the design and development of a scalable and user-friendly catalog platform, ensuring efficient ingestion, synchronization, and management of product data for advertising purposes.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and offer career development guidance to engineers on the team, helping them grow both technically and professionally.
- Champion engineering best practices, ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance in all aspects of catalog platform development.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in digital advertising platforms and product data management, leveraging that knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong technical background in software engineering, with expertise in developing robust and scalable platforms, preferably related to catalog management and product data optimization for advertising.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Familiarity with digital advertising platforms and the challenges of managing and optimizing product data for advertising purposes.
- Solid understanding of web technologies, APIs, and data management principles.
- Passion for fostering a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex systems and architectures to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope, while ensuring high quality and performance.
- Previous experience in an engineering management role, leading teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably in the field of digital advertising or product data management.
