WHY YOU WOULD BE A FIT?

We are looking for a strong leader to join our engineering team where you will take ownership of infrastructure and application architecture. You will ensure our ability to scale seamlessly and leverage modern technologies to tackle any project. In this role you will have the opportunity to drive strategic direction, provide technical guidance and operational oversight to ensure successful development and delivery of high quality products. We are looking for an individual who is able to collaborate cross-functionally and drive innovation.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT (should you choose us and we choose you!)

People Management

• Champion organizational equity, inclusion and diversity activities
• Set and communicate clear objectives and hold team members accountable for their performance and behavior\Oversee the quality assurance department and collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to set and enforce quality standards and processes across the software development lifecycle
• Oversee the cloud operations department and collaborate with the Cloud Operations Manager to optimize system performance, scalability, and monitoring.

Technical Vision and Strategy

• Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical initiatives with business goals
• Ensure compliance with relevant security and compliance standards such as SOC II
• Develop, communicate, and drive the technical vision, roadmap, and long-term strategy

Software Development:

• Oversee the software development life-cycle (SDLC) and ensure that engineering resources are being utilized to their fullest potential and that the engineering team is balancing new product development while also addressing technical debt
• Oversee software development projects from concept to delivery to ensure process adhesion, solid communication, and on-time delivery
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement in development processes and practices
• Drive the execution of scalable, reliable, and high-quality software solutions
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies

Security & Compliance:

• Participate in the yearly SOC II security audit process
• Ensure software systems and development practices adhere to robust security and compliance standards
• Proactively identify and address security vulnerabilities and risks
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams and the information security committee to implement and maintain appropriate security measures

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM & DISPATCH

• Deep understanding of security and compliance practices
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, with 5 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing high performing software engineering teams
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Expertise in building and supporting large, enterprise-scale, mission-critical applications
• Strong technical background in software development and architectureDemonstrated track record of delivering scalable, reliable, and high-quality software products
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
• Ability to leverage data to inform others, and make business decisions
