Parsons is looking for an Engineering Manager to support a program in our biosurveillance group.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and test novel inference methods for high-dimensional problems with applications to transmission model fitting, enhancing the platform's ability to analyze complex data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data input/outputs, metrics, and development storyboards for new features and improvements.
• Lead the engineering team in the development of new features and enhancements for the biosurveillance platform, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to agile development methodologies.
• Allocate resources effectively to adapt technology to the biosurveillance platform, managing the team's workload and priorities to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Create and improve nowcasting models to handle common real-world data defects, ensuring accurate and reliable predictions for biosurveillance efforts.
• Generate test data or access data through Data Use Agreements (DUAs) to validate new features and improvements, ensuring that they meet quality and performance standards.
• Design and test improved forecasting ensembling techniques, incorporating cutting-edge methodologies to advance the platform's predictive capabilities.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions to complex challenges.
• Proven experience in managing engineering teams and delivering high-quality software solutions using agile development methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of nowcasting models, high-dimensional inference methods, and forecasting ensembling techniques.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Experience working with complex data sets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data input/outputs, metrics, and development storyboards.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software development or engineering, with a focus on biosurveillance or related applications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve project goals."

Salary Range:

$121,900.00 - $219,400.00
