We operate at the intersection of big data, machine learning, and real time, low latency and high throughput application engineering, in order to personalize the chase customer experience and to weave together effective and engaging journeys for our customers across channels.
As a Director of Software Engineering, you lead multiple technical teams in the personalization and insights (P&I) program. You will be responsible to collaborate with product leaders to help shape the overall technical strategy and roadmap for key product areas, to lead, mentor and grow the engineering teams, to define integration strategies with adjacent P&I and non P&I product areas, and ultimately to deliver and launch engineering deliverables that enrich a personalized customer experience.
Job responsibilities

• Acts as the primary interface with product and technology leaders and stakeholders driving consensus across competing objectives
• Manages complex projects collaborations
• Provides leadership and high-level direction to teams while frequently overseeing employee populations across two key product areas
• Leads multiple technology teams to achieve firmwide technology objectives
• Will be responsible for key areas in our personalization and insights engineering program; specifically our Recommendation Engine and our Rules Engine

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Demonstrated prior experience influencing across highly matrixed, complex organizations and delivering value at scale
• Experience leading projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability
• Extensive practical cloud native experience; AWS patterns for big data processing, stream processing, application serving and machine learning operations
• Experience developing or leading multiple teams of technologists to design and deliver high throughput low latency real time systems integrated with machine learning capabilities
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
• Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
