Job Description

You will act as a communications leader focused on raising the standard of measurement, analytics and insight in the creator economy, increasing the confidence of BDB’s clients in our recommendations across every stage of the planning process.


BDB specifically needs a digitally savvy analytics expert, with experience in measuring and evaluating multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns. You will lead our efforts on using data to enrich our campaign planning, targeting, measurement, optimisation and evaluation, collaborating with agency experts across a range of clients and verticals to enable evidence-led decision making.


Collaboration is key to this role - you’ll be working closely with analysts, strategists, creatives, account management team as well as multiple client stakeholders.


You must be a confident self-starter, full of enthusiasm, highly collaborative and searching for the next challenge. Working with and influencing senior stakeholders and clients should come as second nature to you.


Client Growth


  • Present frequently to clients, new and existing, to sell in and deliver projects. This will extend to presenting at client meetings as well as new business pitches.
  • Build relationships with client stakeholders and internal BDB teams to promote, develop and manage insight and analytics led projects.
  • Building on these relationships, you will need to follow up on leads, receive briefs and communicate these back to the business and to the appropriate teams to get new projects and opportunities off the ground.


Discipline Expertise


  • Measure, evaluate and optimise marketing activity using best practice testing methodologies where necessary.
  • Manage the measurement and effectiveness of new platforms and formats.
  • Be the clients’ trusted advisor on all things data and make it easy for clients to make business decisions based on data insight.
  • Define frameworks to measure marketing effectiveness, set KPIs, benchmarks, targets and forecasts to support business cases.
  • Determine which metrics matter, proving causality from social metrics to business outcomes
  • Lead clients learning by developing test and learn experiments to move client marketing activities forward and increase confidence in results
  • Integrate first-party and third-party data to provide robust measurement solutions bespoke to the client’s needs


Team leadership & management


  • Lead your team, with responsibility for overseeing resourcing and managing team workload.
  • Line management and career development of a team of insight and analytics specialists
  • Develop the skills and knowledge of your team and wider agency colleagues, creating and sustaining a learning culture.


Skills and Attributes


  • 7+ years in a measurement and analytics role, preferably within an agency or media owner environment or similar with transferable experience.
  • High level numeracy and analysis skills.
  • Curious about the way marketing works and the role of creator in providing effective ways to drive attention and positive client outcomes
  • Demonstrable success at leading teams and major clients in the UK or Globally.
  • Ability to explain the technical details of data and analytics in a non-technical way to people outside the discipline.
  • Happy to be present in the office on a weekly basis, as well as when needed for client presentations, all agency meetings etc.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, proposal writing and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong knowledge of CRM, web and digital marketing.
  • Able to spot the signal in the noise, identifying the high value insight among the patterns in the data and translate into an actionable client recommendation
