Specialist, Digital Personalization & Engagement - E-commerce


About the Job:


CHANEL is looking for a Digital Personalization & Engagement Specialist to join our Digital team in New York. You will be playing a leading role in developing and executing programs to deliver personalized site experiences and testing on Chanel.com to create meaningful connections with the brand and deepen client relationships. This role will focus on managing and scaling relevant site journeys while also allowing the client to discover brand storytelling and priority campaigns. They will partner closely with IT, Creative, Operations, Traffic and Marketing teams. Our ideal candidate will have 3+ years of e-commerce, A/B testing & personalization software experience & and a passion for digital and analytics.


What impact you can create at CHANEL:


  • Update site personalization journey matrix documents and results library as new initiatives are launched or deactivated
  • Work with global stakeholders to implement and share learnings and success across markets
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams such as traffic growth and retention team to create synergies between channels to deliver a cohesive and relevant experience across touchpoints
  • Submit site experience requests to creative team when local assets or messaging is needed
  • Monitor personalization dashboards on a weekly basis, noting trends and behavior shifts
  • Create and manage tickets for new initiatives, conduct user acceptance testing during build process, working closely with tech partners
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide insights/analysis to help team understand channel performance and progress
  • Analyze experience and test performance leveraging various analytics tools, interpreting data, and compiling results and recommendations to share with key partners
  • Implement personalization and a/b testing initiatives in close collaboration with third party vendor, working daily in the experience management tool
  • Help define and implement local site personalization strategies, aligning with business and client experience objectives to meet brand priorities and create connection with boutiques
  • Manage personalization vendor day to day relationship, conducting weekly meetings to review open topics and participate in strategy development sessions

What You Will Bring To The Team..


  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • 3+ years relevant experience working in a digital personalization and/or A/B testing role with hands on experience in a personalization/testing third-party platform (Monetate a plus)
  • Conceptual understanding of HTML, CSS, Javascript a plus
  • Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Suite & Google Analytics
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Highly collaborative and flexible/adaptable to different environments and ways of working
  • Experience analyzing complex data and compiling insights and recommendations (direct experience analyzing A/B testing and segmentation preferred)
  • Strategic thinker, organized planner, and creative problem solver


Position Logistics:


  • Position is NYC-based and will follow a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and up to 2 days remote


The anticipated base salary range for this position is $55,700 through $95,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other components [may/will] include additional compensation, benefits and perks.
