Do you have experience within the Beverage Distribution market? Do you have experience of selling distribution services into retailers, brands, manufacturers & wholesalers?
We are recruiting for a Commercial Director to head up the Supplier Strategies for a U.S. & Canada based beverage distributor.
My client has been serving the U.S. and Canadian markets for 50 + years. Proudly built on foundations of experience within the movement of consumer goods, synonymous with premium quality service, we are looking for someone to improve the overall quality of supplier business development work & support the plan of new suppliers.
Are you a driven and dynamic individual? We're seeking exceptional candidates, with experience in similar roles with proven experience of driving sales in the U.S. & Canada within the beverage distribution (or wholesale/retail) markets. You'll be the force behind cultivating new relationships with new beverage suppliers and brands, playing a key role in supporting the process & development of supplier pursuits to plan development & launch.
Responsibilities include:
- Research & creation of market plans to support consumer strategy (with a focus on supplier & brand business growth)
- Foster strong and collaborative relationships with suppliers, ensuring high levels of customer service & satisfaction.
- Conduct assessments on current supplier/brand relationships, developing maintenance plans, ensuring current offerings & needs are met to the highest standards.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue growth targets and expand our client's presence in the market.
- Conduct assessments on potential suppliers, evaluating their product quality, pricing, distribution, capabilities and alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee pipeline management and sales forecasting, ensuring accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
Requirements include :
- Experience of actively managing supplier relationships
- Skill in building rapport, effective negotiation, and a passion for delivering superior customer service to nurture and expand business relationships.
- Travel, 50% of the time
- At least 10-12 years of sales experience in beverage & distribution industry
- Experience of working collaboratively with suppliers & brands to ensure best practise
- MBA level qualification required
This role is working with U.S. & Canadian businesses - for the right fit, the candidate can be remote based from U.S. / Canada, with travel up to 50% of the time.
