Job Description
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $83,000 to $107,900+ per year, representing the minimum to the midpoint within our compensation plan. We believe in providing a comprehensive compensation structure that includes a range from minimum to maximum. The final salary for the selected candidate(s) will be determined based on a variety of factors, such as skills, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Student Support Coordinator. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage and support preclinical COM students in Colorado, working closely with the Director of Preclinical Student Management for the Utah Campus.
Essential Job Functions
Monitor, assess, and meet with students who may be facing academic difficulties, providing support and planning remediation as needed.
Act as a liaison between various departments and offices to ensure a seamless experience for preclinical COM students, collaborating with the Office of Testing, Registrar's Office, IT, Financial Aid, Department of Clinical Education, Department of Student Affairs, and more.
Review and approve/reject student excused absence requests, ensuring effective communication and follow-up.
Coordinate makeup and remediation examinations in collaboration with the Office of Testing and course directors.
Serve as a point of contact for student inquiries regarding academic and personal matters, providing guidance and support.
Assist in accreditation preparations and participate in site visits.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and education to preclinical COM students, fostering their personal and academic growth.
Contribute to the university and the greater community by participating in committees, community outreach events, and professional organizations.
Take on leadership roles and contribute to special projects related to preclinical education, curriculum design, and curriculum management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Demonstrate the ability to mentor and motivate students, fostering their success.
Have a solid understanding of the Preclinical COM curriculum sequence and policies.
Proficiency and advanced skill in various software applications, including Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), and web forms. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies as needed.
Track record of leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, promoting an inclusive environment for faculty, staff, and students.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree from an accredited university in a relevant field.
Three (3) years of experience as a full-time staff member in higher education.
Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and demonstrate efficient time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of experience as a full-time staff member at a medical school.
Experience with college accreditation.
Experience with testing and assessment.
