Hartmann Young is exclusively partnered with a global Pre-clinical, contract research organisation who are looking to expand its In-Vivo operations department.
Job Summary
The Director of Operations is responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and management of In-Vivo departments on-site. Direct the conduct and quality of all aspects of operations, activities and/or projects at the site. Implement, manage, and maintain Preclinical Services functions and business activities.
Job Qualifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide oversight and management of assigned groups including In Vivo Technical Operations, Scheduling Groups, Training Groups, Animal Care Lab, Necropsy Lab and Fetal Evaluation Lab.
• Foster effective communication between the assigned departments
• Identify potential problems and propose and implement effective solutions to resolve them in a proactive manner
• Oversee the development, implementation, and management of programs that will ensure efficiency and will maximize all applicable resources
• Ensure that lab maintenance records are reviewed as needed
• Resolve internal and external customer requests, inquiries, and complaints and provide technical assistance
• Direct activities of the assigned group(s) to ensure optimum performance of the group/function
• Responsible for personnel management activities and integration of activities across departments.
• Develop short- and long-range operating objectives, organizational structure, staffing requirements and succession plans
• Develop and recommend departmental budget and authorize expenditures
• Develop and oversee the implementation of departmental training programs, including orientation
• Ensure adherence to pertinent regulatory requirements and to departmental policies, practices and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in biology or related discipline required
Experience: Ten or more years of related experience in In-Vivo labs consisting of general/reproductive toxicology studies and/or necropsy/histology procedures required
