The Role


The Director of Operations cultivates an environment of empowerment and hospitality that creates memories for all generations through a shared, world-class entertainment experience.


The Director of Operations is responsible for building solid teams - through development, effective hiring, and engagement. They are accountable for all venue business functions and the execution of consistent and flawless operational standards. In addition, they must display the ability to uphold Puttshack standards and procedures, maximize financial performance, and build relationships within their community to grow the Puttshack brand.

  • Promote safe operational standards for both Guest and Associate safety

  • Cultivate relationships with community leaders and organizations to ensure strong connections
  • Hold departments accountable for budgets and spending
  • Leverage business metrics and trends to drive performance and to maximize profit and revenue.
  • Drive Associate engagement and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Supervise the Department Managers and their teams in providing best-in-class service
  • Hold leaders accountable for managing venue operations


What You Will Need


  • P&L experience
  • Comfortable using a variety of software platforms for scheduling, ordering, inventory, and venue management.
  • Director experience 5+ years Senior manager role in restaurant or entertainment venue with $10MM+ in sales
  • Effectively manage and engage team of 150+ hourly associates.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including Event Sales Administrator Puttshack Pittsburgh
  • Experience with Food and Beverage management platforms

The Role


The Event Sales Administrator is an entry level position and a great opportunity to support a multi million dollar event sales team in a fast paced, high volume environment. This position is perfect for anyone who is wanting to start their career and grow in the event sales world. All of Puttshack's sales admins are an integral part of the team and opportunity for long term growth is abundant.


What You'll Do


  • Assist in office prospecting to better prepare yourself for the next role.
  • Review & Print BEO's for the kitchen team for the following week's events and for the sales team for the BEO meetings.
  • Be an example of our core values daily and hold yourself accountable to Puttshack standards.
  • Manage the Booking System daily, with guest lists and updates.
  • Qualify leads and put them into rotation as they are received.
  • Complete Reports as needed, including Forecasting and all Tripleseat Reports.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve the office processes and elevate team excellence.
  • Act as a liaison between sales and operations.
  • Identify any discrepancies between events schedule and event packets and relay to owning Event Sales Manager or Event Sales Consultant and the Director of Sales.
  • Answer phones in a timely fashion and assist guests displaying a positive & professional attitude.
  • Pre-make event information folders to ensure they are readily available for walk-in tours.
  • Must be able to multi-task and handle various event needs.
  • Pre-make packets to ensure they are readily available for pop-ups.
  • File closeout paperwork in designated locations as to ensure paperwork can be found when needed.
  • Make event packets and ensure golf is booked correctly daily.
  • Complete event closeouts, relaying any discrepancies between agreements and payments to owning Event Sales Manager


What You'll Need


  • 1+ year of experience in sales or events related function
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role
  • A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change and integrity
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, time-management and organization skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm
