JLE Industries is currently seeking a Director of Operations for our Dunbar, PA location. This high-performance role is responsible for the management of the Asset Operations Team.

We are looking for a tenacious individual who will focus on relationship building, effective communication, positive recognition and is highly proficient with time management. You'll be addressing personal and performance-related issues with our elite Professional Flatbed Talent (PFT). This key position will develop strategies, policies, and procedures that will achieve the financial objectives as determined by the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Vice President.

Essential Functions:

Priority 1: Responsible for the day-to-day management and workflow of JLE's core operations team

Monitor and analyze KPIs daily: you’ll maintain team cadence around KPIs, to ensure that that metrics are achieved in accordance with our objectives and timelines.

Manage fleet performance: You’re our expert in strategizing to maximize the revenue generated by the JLE assets, while insuring that PFT are meeting their pickup and delivery times and are within the DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations. Compliant and are within all CSA thresholds.

Develop and implement strategies: You will reduce and control the costs associated with business unit, including variable costs associated with asset utilization, administrative and fixed expenses.

Full P&L responsibility (Revenue to Net Income): You will effectively manage the Department’s budget and headcount to maximize efficiency.

Knowing your team: Coaching support to develop and retain using weekly meetings on an individual and group basis to build and maintain the JLE culture that engages our employees, develops aspiring team members, and champions our core values of Accountability, Integrity, and Performance.

Listen & Communicate: You’ll perfect the liaison function between the Asset Operations Team and other departments to facilitate strategies that will achieve companywide objectives.

Adaptability: You will provide expertise in adapting your team’s personal work hours/schedule to accommodate operational needs and other demands of the positions.

Accountability You will effortlessly understand and provide accountable processes for quality performance and adherence to company policies and procedures by addressing non-performance or substandard issues in a timely and effective manner.

Participation In: All current programs, initiatives, and procedures with the Safety Department to foster a Safety-First culture.

Support: All CAT and Marketing initiatives such as Knowing vs. Doing.

Communication – You will ensure and work cooperatively with Human Resources to ensure that our Operations Team stays adequately staffed to support 24/7 Coverage.

Industry Awareness- You have your finger on the pulse of changes to federal and state laws and regulations. You'll attend industry-related functions and may also host industry-related functions from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
  • Extensive financial and analytical background to form the basis of all strategic decisions, develop and implement daily Key Factor Reporting for Sales and Operations.
  • Ability to develop, lead and motivate a superb Operations workforce, develop a strong, performance-driven, engaging culture.
  • 10 Years of progressive Leadership experience in an asset-based transportation organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to take on business task and technical requirements.
  • Expert in the proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and transportation software, and comfortable with the embrace of novel technology applications
