Our highly respected client a global provider of coatings desires an experienced Director of Operations for their flooring plant 12 miles west of Philadelphia.

Seeking a leader that understands how to engage with each and every person regardless of title or function. A champion in the art of employee engagement and guidance.

• Works with / Reports to VP Operations
• Plant employees working on 2 shifts

Position: Director of Operations

Position Summary: Responsible for planning, production and distribution of all products, departmental budgeting, staffing and general facility management.

Report to Vice President - Operations

Responsible for assuring the safe operation of manufacturing and distribution facilities, the operation of those facilities within federal and state environmental regulations, and for training of personnel in applicable regulatory requirements.

Specific Requirements:

Responsible for all applicable Operations Departments which include: Production/Manufacturing, Materials Management, Planning, Distribution

• Responsible for fiscal matters related to inventory valuation, inventory shrinkage, optimum raw
• Responsible for effective distribution of products via logistics/transportation services to all facilities worldwide.
• Material & finished good utilization, and all applicable facility related operating costs.
• Efficient production and/or availability of products marketed and making same available in a timely manner.
• Maintaining highest quality product integrity complying with the ISO program and similar standards.
• Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment in clean, safe and comfortable facilities.
• Managing optimum staffing requirements for all related Operations departments.
• Assure compliance with all associated government regulations supporting Operations.

Background Requirements:

• Prior experience at a management level.
• Minimum (10) years experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment and/or 10 years of experience working directly with like products in a technical capacity.
• BA/BS in chemistry, chemical engineering, or business degree preferred.
