Job Description

Location: Onsite in Orlando, FL Preferred; Remote candidates considered if located in EST

Years’ Experience: 10+

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field

Clearance: Applicants must be able to meet the requirements to obtain a Secret security clearance. NOTE: United States Citizenship is required.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in system engineering with enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, network equipment, workstations, etc. in a domain environment.
  • Experience managing IT support staff in an organization with 100+ employees.
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructure across various departments and groups.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Cybersecurity Regulations including DFARS, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FedRAMP.
  • Demonstrable business management experience with a general understanding of finance, operations, marketing, and human resources.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in developing a cybersecurity strategy that minimizes security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Prepares reports on IT department goals, performance, trends, and forecasts.
  • Firewalls, switches, and wireless networking equipment.
  • Assists in preparing financial budgets and presenting funding proposals, as needed.
  • Hosted VOIP and on-prem PBX systems.
  • Cloud Service Providers with an emphasis on Microsoft solutions.
  • Provides support to cybersecurity and system administration teams for all third-party assessments, formal audits, and incident response activities.
  • Researches and provides solutions to technical challenges.
  • Enterprise backup solutions.
  • Interfaces with department leads in company to ensure IT services are meeting needs and expectations.
  • Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
  • Remains up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Assists in managing external IT vendors and evaluating and negotiating vendor agreements.
  • Oversees the deployment and upgrades of IT hardware and software.
  • Maintains Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Incident Response Plans.
  • Develops and documents system standards for computer and network devices.
  • Project manages key IT initiatives, including solution testing and rollouts.
  • Physical and virtual servers.
  • Evaluates/updates departmental policies and procedures on a periodic basis to ensure accuracy, currency, and effectiveness.
  • Assumes responsibility for employee morale and for addressing employee concerns and performance issues.
  • Ensures that all systems are compliant with the current revision of NIST 800-171.
  • Makes recommendations to VP of IT regarding staff recruitment, promotions, assignments, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Works with cybersecurity team to maintain System Security Plan (SSP) and Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM).
  • Provides day-to-day management of the IT department, to include oversight of the group’s support technicians, system administrators, web developers, and cybersecurity team.
  • Monitors IT Help Desk service levels and creates process improvement plans to address goals for responsiveness and accuracy.
  • Ensures IT department carries out tasks, goals, and initiatives in a timely and professional manner and that work reflects a high level of customer service.
  • Oversees all IT-related employee training.
  • Supervises and assists in the administration of the following:
  • Assists VP of IT in projecting future needs, modernizing IT infrastructure, and improving IT service.
  • Ensures the tracking of all IT assets, to include hardware, software, supplies, and licenses.
  • Works with VP of IT to engage in strategic planning and goal setting for the department.
  • Assumes responsibility for all IT system implementations, operations, and monitoring.
  • Assists VP of IT in the management, coordination, and administration of all computer and information system-related services, projects, and programs.



Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s (four year) degree in Information Technology (IT), Information Systems (IS), Computer Science (CS), Business Management, or another related field.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in system engineering with enterprise IT infrastructure including servers, network equipment, workstations, etc. in a domain environment.
  • Microsoft or Cybersecurity certifications preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and focused on quality.
  • Must possess and be able to maintain a valid U.S. Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and resolve complex issues.
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.
  • Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructure across various departments and groups.
  • Extensive systems and network troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong focus on customer service and ability to balance security concerns with needs of end user.
  • Demonstrable business management experience with a general understanding of finance, operations, marketing, and human resources.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience managing IT support staff in an organization with 100+ employees.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including professional grammar skills and speaking voice.
  • Working knowledge of Federal Cybersecurity Regulations including DFARS, NIST 800-171, CMMC, and FedRAMP.
