As you might imagine, analytics and insights are the heart of how we support our physician partners and is agilon’s special sauce.
We have a strong team in place already and are looking for a new leader to help us drive more outcomes and generate new targeted and actionable insights.
Whether it’s in the Medicare risk adjustment space or analyzing membership attribution trends or helping provide transparency into the workings of our healthcare data lake or some ad-hoc requests, you will gain exposure to and will be able to make an impact in a large number of domains.
You will help coach the team and also have the opportunity to make your own contributions with direct line of sight to improving patient outcomes and reducing medical waste. Come join the team and help make a meaningful impact in our senior members’ lives!

  • Coach our insights engineers to live up to their full potential and continue pushing the team up the high-performing scale.
  • Lead an agile team working collaboratively with agilon leadership and many different cross-functional teams, including UX, Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Clinician teams and our partner-practice facing teams as well.
  • Drive execution of value delivery that directly impacts the health of our members and the success of our company.
  • Mentor and teach other team members.
  • Champion and help define how agilon implements analytics and insights development.
Desired Traits
  • Solid understanding of core agile principles.
  • Enthusiastic about getting things done!
  • Ability to consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances.
  • Excellent communicator and a nimble learner.
  • Highly proficient in SQL and data modeling, and familiarity with any data visualization tool (e.g. Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel).
  • Comfortable in a startup environment and ready to “roll up your sleeves”.
  • 8+ years of leading teams in a technical environment with significant hands-on experience in the healthcare domain: e.g. risk adjustment, clinical analytics, clinical quality, or health economics.
  • Track record of coaching employees by understanding their needs and providing opportunities for growth.
  • Takes ownership over the insights the team generates, and the processes used to develop those analyses, keeping our users' needs in clear focus. Intellectually curious about data, with an ability to balance meeting deadlines with the ability to explore beyond the immediate problem at hand.
