What You Will Do
Strategy & Solution Delivery
- Provide guidance to engineers, analysts, scientists and other analytics resources on solution design, development, delivery, and maintenance
- Manage the identification, sourcing, integration, and transformation of new external and existing data sets to be leveraged across the enterprise
- Develop and manage dashboards and visualizations to provide insights and drive a data-driven culture
- Work closely with technical and business teams to ensure data integration and data management best practices are followed
- Maintain a fluent understanding of advancements in technology and innovations including cognitive technology and artificial intelligence
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business goals and objectives
- Oversee the development of an enterprise data strategy including data lake implementation, enterprise data management and governance, reporting automation / simplification, data science, and next generation analytics technologies
- Translate strategies and requirements from the business into analytics opportunities to be evaluated and prioritized
Stakeholder Development & Management
- Interact with senior leadership to present insights, recommendations, and gain acceptance of new approaches
- Articulate the value proposition for data and analytics and lead the enterprise into becoming a data-driven culture
- Provide technical expertise on data and analytics solution designs, development, and delivery to stakeholders
- Architect enterprise-wide data and analytics transformations and lead at all levels of the organization to capture business value
Talent & Performance Management
- Develop 3rd party partnerships with data, services, advisory, and implementation providers to effectively deliver a portfolio of solutions that scale and sustain adoption and value for the enterprise
- Lead and manage a team of data analysts, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver high-quality data insights, dashboards, and analytics
- Build and lead a data governance framework to establish a disciple for the effective management of data across the enterprise
What You Will Need
Education, Experience & Technical Skills
- 10+ years of experience in data management, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing data strategies, policies, and procedures
- Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data modeling, data visualization, data pipelines, and statistical analysis
- Experience building and managing teams of advanced data modelers, data architects, data scientists, and analysts
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Experience with data lake technologies such as Snowflake or Databricks
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with languages such as Python and R
- Experience consuming large data sets from multiple sources and implementing visualization capabilities leveraging mainstream 3rd party software platforms
