Job Description

What you will be doing:
Amogy is seeking a Director of Maritime Sales to join our Business Development team. Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Business Development, the Director of Maritime Sales will apply their commercial experience to shape the future of Amogy.
  • Structure and negotiate partnership agreements to maximize the value captured and ensure satisfaction of the business partner.
  • Work with the strategy, product development, and project management teams to understand the technology, inform the corporate strategy, and drive future product development.
  • Identify and pursue commercial opportunities across the maritime sector through networking, market research, and attending industry events.
  • Build market positioning by developing and closing business relationships, integrating contract and sales requirements with business operations.
  • Deliver presentations and build strong customer relationships leading to projects and sales.
  • Drive commercial strategy and develop new business prospects, leading to both domestic and international technology deployments.
Requirements
Minimum requirements we seek:
  • 5+ years experience in the maritime sector. Experience with energy systems and low-carbon fuels is an added advantage.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • Entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit with high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume portfolio of clients.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, marketing, commercial, consulting, or other client-facing roles.
  • Strong track record of creating strategic plans, developing new business prospects, and converting them into commercial agreements and/or sales.
  • Ability to identify and follow up on leads.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complicated commercial and technical concepts in a comprehensible manner.
The salary pay range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000. The salary pay range is applicable to positions physically based in New York City. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, job experience and physical location.
